Auto Glass Week 2019

Business Is About People and True Relationships

Every year I try and represent our core value, “Embrace Changes and Challenges” by going to Auto Glass Week. This year I really wanted my wife, Rachel, and team leader, Matt, to come with me. Although the hailstorm almost made the trip impossible, the rest of the team covered for us so we could go! The trip was life-changing. We had the pleasure of hanging out and connecting with our heroes from Don’s Mobile. I believe every business that changes the world for the better is usually blessed with a mentor or a coach that changes the trajectory of their life and business. Dave Leach, with Don’s Mobile in Modesto California, is that mentor and coach for us. Many people wanted a piece of Dave’s time, yet he still found time to spend selfless hours investing and pouring his experiences into us. Matt and I felt like the luckiest sponges in the world. We had the unique opportunity to witness Don’s Mobile Glass’s head technician, Collin compete in an intense competition for the world's best auto glass technician… World’s best!! I was sweating and Matt was biting his nails off. Collin won 2nd best… IN THE WORLD! Collin revealed a tool the public had never seen before to replace the windshield that, Jacques from Don’s Mobile, created himself. At the awards ceremony, a shocking surprise came when Jacques was called up for an award, most innovative tool, an award that’s never been given before. Yes! The judges were so utterly impressed that they created an award. History was made!Don’s Mobile is big on family and serving the community. Their passion is contagious, and we definitely caught the bug! We will always be grateful for their investment in us, and we are excited to pay it forward. They treated Matt and my wife like family and have become our extended family in the process. Thank you, Dave, Collin, and Jacques for one of the most memorable trips of our lives!Cheers, John
